New DME Supervisor at Morristown Pharmacy & Homecare

With a background of supervisory and managerial experience in retail sales and customer service, Dottie Minnich has been named the new DME Supervisor at Morristown Pharmacy & Homecare. Prior to assuming her new role on December 1, 2014, Dottie had served in various financial management roles at Barnesville Hospital.

Dee Stewart, Business Office Supervisor and Dotties former manager, states, Dottie is very good at her job. She is great working with patients and their families. Dr. Russell Lee-Wood, a family medicine physician at Ohio Hills Health Services found Dottie to be courteous and helpful above and beyond his expectations. Her peers voted Dottie C.A.R.E.Giver of the Month in 2005 and 2009. In 2009, Mrs. Minnich was nominated for the Albert E. Dyckes Health Care Worker of the Year Award, presented by the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA). Her nomination stated, Dottie exemplifies the values of the award: demonstrates leadership skills, goes beyond the call of duty, reflects the values and ideals of Ohios health care facilities, and gives back to the community.

Her most gratifying healthcare experience was while working as financial counselor. I once encouraged a patient to call 911 and come to the ER, states Dottie, even though she did not have medical insurance, which was a concern for the patient. She later told staff, if she had not come, she might have died.

Dottie Minnich was born in Berea, Ohio and grew up in North Ridgeville, Ohio with three sisters and one brother. She lived in Lorain County, Ohio until 2002 when she and husband of 34 years, Mike, moved to this area to be closer to her parents. They have two children, Mike of Olmsted Falls, Ohio and Matt (Charatie) of Monticello, Kentucky. Granddaughter Chris lives in Elyria, Ohio with husband, Brett, and daughter, Jossalyn. Dottie sings with the praise team at her church and enjoys reading and crafts.
