Barnesville Hospital Volunteers Honored For Dedication

Barnesville Hospital Volunteers were recently honored at a banquet held at Annie Ks Restaurant in Barnesville. The invocation was provided by Pastor Ted Buehl, with the benediction offered by Deaconess Sherri Buehl of the First United Methodist Church in Barnesville. Musical entertainment was performed by Mindy Wilson.

Various departments throughout the hospital received assistance from 160 volunteers giving 8,735 hours of service in 2013, while Meals on Wheels drivers delivered 6,125 hot meals to those in need within the community.

Mallory Christman, teen volunteer, received a pin for 200 hours of service, while Lexi Froehlich received a pin for 100 hours. Candy Stripers receiving patches included Nichole Farson, Katie Frazier, Molly McKivitz, and Mikayla Willis.

Adult volunteer Jean Anderson was honored for 2,000 hours, as was Bob Boswell with 1,000 hours. Additional adult volunteer honorees included Ethel Bahmer, Judy Johnson, Diann Stephens, and Don Stukey with 500 hours of service each.

According to Ruth Anderson, Director of Volunteers, Your dedication and hard work is an inspiration to all you know. Im grateful I can count on you. You help make Barnesville Hospital a success.
